Agcom approves Guidelines on responsible gaming communications

Agcom’s board of directors approves the guidelines on communications regarding responsible gaming, operational content coming soon.

In today’s session, Wednesday, July 29, Agcom‘s board of directors, following a lengthy consultation process (including written contributions and hearings), approved the Guidelines on responsible gaming communications.

The Communications Regulatory Authority will soon release, at the latest within the next few days, the operational procedures that concessionaires must use in their communications on the matter, for example regarding testimonials, logos and brands.

As is known, authorized operators – as indicated in the text of Legislative Decree No. 41 of 2024 on the reorganization of online gaming – are required to allocate, on an annual basis, an amount equal to 0.2% of their net revenues to responsible gaming campaigns, up to a maximum of 1 million euros, and the need was therefore felt to provide them with concrete guidance on how to conduct them.
