Gat thus reaffirms its mission: to integrate legal gaming, attract investment and generate real business opportunities for private stakeholders and for the growth of the economy in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Gat Events had an outstanding participation at Ice Barcelona 2026 with a large delegation composed of its commercial, marketing, communications and public relations teams, confirming the growing global interest in the markets of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Gat’s participation at Ice Barcelona translated into concrete results: more than 70 business meetings, attendance at six academic and networking events, and a list of approximately 80 companies interested in joining the Gat Circuit to access strategic markets in Mexico, Brazil, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Colombia.
Over three days, the professional team of Gaming & Technology Expo achieved highly productive results in meetings with regulators, operators, suppliers and international associations, strengthening existing commercial ties and advancing new alliances that will drive high-level academic agendas, the trade exhibition and networking events of the Gat Circuit 2026.
The 2026 edition of Ice Barcelona, organized by Clarion Gaming, once again confirmed its leadership as the global epicenter of the gaming industry, with impeccable stand production and a well-curated academic program. The event brought together 65,000 executives from more than 180 countries, with an agenda focused on innovation, regulation, sustainability and business generation, marked by the prominence of technology, artificial intelligence and unprecedented connectivity in this constantly expanding industry.
Within this impressive showcase, Gat presented the vision and scope of the Gat Circuit 2026 and exchanged perspectives on the evolution of Latin American markets with regulators from Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico and Brazil.
Special mention should be made of the connections established with authorities, associations, legal experts and industry specialists within the framework of Casa Brasil, an institutional space that concentrated a key part of the Latin American agenda during Ice Barcelona and served as a platform to project the launch of the Gat Summit Brazil. As previously announced, Ice Barcelona officially confirmed Gat’s presence in São Paulo next July. Gat Summit Brazil will be a premium event focused on academia and networking which, in partnership with Eletrolar and other strategic players in the Brazilian market, will pave the way toward a strong trade exhibition with projections for 2027 and 2028.
“Ice Barcelona is an unparalleled platform to promote Gat Events. Its organizers have clearly understood the value and strength of the region within the global gaming ecosystem. In South America, Central America and the Caribbean, gaming is part of popular culture and there has been significant progress in regulation and in the fight against illegal gaming. I would like to thank Clarion and especially Liliana Costa for their welcome, their warmth and the opportunities they offered us by inviting us to participate in Casa Brasil and in the conferences and discussions dedicated to Latin America. We have completed a true marathon of meetings whose results will begin to materialize very soon, in line with our mission as integrators of the industry in Latin America,” said José Aníbal Aguirre, Ceo of Gaming & Technology Expo.
Finally, the GAT team — composed of José Aníbal Aguirre, Alexandra Hernández, Lida María Roldán, Natalia Moreno and Ana María Padrós — jointly expressed their satisfaction with the work carried out in Barcelona last week.
