EvenBet Ceo Starostenkov: ‘The gaming experience must be fast and engaging’

Spins Poker is the latest innovation from EvenBet Gaming, officially presented at Sigma Central Europe 2025 in Rome, with Ceo Dmitry Starostenkov in attendance.

The latest product launched by EvenBet Gaming, which held a press conference at the mega event in the capital (at Fiera di Roma), is aimed at engagement (and speed). It introduced its Spins Poker platform, which enhances the experience with sports bookmakers and online casinos through short, interactive gaming sessions lasting just a few minutes (the demo is available here). Ceo Dmitry Starostenkov told us more, highlighting the trends and the value of Ai in studying their customers for IGE Magazine.

Tell us about Spins Poker. How does it break into the gaming market?
“This product is part of our journey focused on innovation. We reflected on how to help operators integrate the poker vertical into their business; it is often perceived as something too complex, too big. For this reason, we have developed a tool that is very easy to integrate. The idea is to offer an experience that allows players to enjoy the adrenaline of poker and casino at the same time, in a fast and intuitive format. Operators, on their part, will have a tool to keep users engaged even during breaks from sports betting. This is why we decided to remove many typical poker features and only keep the Spins format for players. It is a basic and simple-to-understand format where three players sit at the same table, play tournaments against each other, but at the same time have a casino-like experience, because while playing they can win a multiplier of up to 1000x on their prizes. This way, we can also use poker as a tool for loyalty, Ltv, and reactivation”.

How effective can it be in Italy?
“The Spins format is very popular in France. Winamax, BetClic, and Unibet are already widely using this format for their players. And France is very similar to Italy: there are many sports betting operators, and I think that for Italy, it would be a good fit for bookmakers too”.

Are you experimenting with Artificial Intelligence integration?
“Yes, we are using Ai primarily to group players and to understand their behaviour. Because for poker players, it is very important to understand what kind of player they are dealing with, and depending on how quickly we can figure out who this poker player is – whether they are a beginner or already a professional – we can offer them different experiences”.

What are the main trends you are observing in poker?
“The new Spins format seeks to address the latest trends. New generations don’t want to just sit and play poker, play, and earn a bit of money. They want to have more enjoyable experiences. They want to have different animations, graphics, and interactivity. They don’t want to spend a lot of time learning the game itself; they demand a very fast, TikTok-style experience. And this is what we are trying to achieve with Spins. We are working on a fast and fun experience”.
